Fuel compliance

CGL Fuel has been independently assessed against the the most current standards developed by the Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF). This standard similarly reflects practices that CGL Fuel follows as part of our ISO certifications.

Quality of our products is critical to our business. Our assets are managed to the most astringent oil industry practices in the world and we pride ourselves in offering high quality fuel products.

Our employees at CGL Fuel are qualified shore operators. This certification supports their quality management activities around the receiving, unloading and storage of fuel cargoes.

Environmental practices are an important aspect of our fuel operations. Without our environmental licence, we could not operate.

Pressure testing of delivery lines occurs with every fuel delivery. Daily tank balance and fuel delivery assessments are conducted as well. These practices in turn allow CGL Fuel to actively mitigate against loss of product to the natural environment.

In 2006, CGL Fuel’s Wyndham terminal underwent an environmental site assessment and developed a groundwater monitoring event report. Both the assessment and report revealed that there were no issues that required remediation with respect to site and groundwater contamination.

We continually monitor our groundwater and hydrocarbon waste levels at our multiple operation sites where we store fuel products. Independent environmental and monitoring assessments of our fuel facilities is required as per our operating licence.

Health and safety

Working with dangerous goods requires a high level of control and robust health and safety management practices.

By operating requirement, CGL Fuel has in place comprehensive emergency response manuals for all our facilities. These manuals are annually reviewed by fuel terminal staff to ensure emergency response processes are current and familiar processes.

We undertake specialised industry and safety training with our employees at CGL Fuel as they need it. We have also developed robust task-based risk assessments to support our fuel operations.
