Rirratjingu Fuels

If you have ever switched-on a light, charged your phone or driven a vehicle on the Northern Territory’s Gove Peninsular, then you have been a customer of Rirratjingu.

CGL established Rirratjingu Fuel (a 50/50 joint venture) with Rirratjingu Investments; an arm of the Rirratjingu Aboriginal Corporation (who represent the Traditional Owners of Gove).

The JV commenced back in 2013 with a key deliverable being to win the contract to supply and distribute Rio Tinto Alcan’s diesel for its Gove bauxite operation.

The other key deliverable for the JV was to establish a sustainable business model that would generate not just benefits to the investors, but offer a return of investment for the Gove community.

Reflecting the values and principles of those held by both JV partners, Rirratijingu Fuel has become an extraordinary role model for Indigenous businesses throughout Australia.

Rirratjingu Fuel welcome the opportunity for those seeking bulk fuel orders throughout the Gove Peninsular region to contact the CGL Kununurra office team.
